So here's a little GIF thing I did. It was originally meant to be a comic but I said to my perpetually empty room, "Screw that nonsense!" and made it a GIF instead. It was easier.
So here we have a short little blurb about the original Heatblast reacting to his sequel redesign and the Heatblast/Wildvine/Mummy/Four Arms replacement Swampfire. Seriously, Swampfire has the strength of Four Arms, the fire powers of Heatblast, the plant abilities and body of Wildvine, the regeneration of the Mummy, and absolutely no weaknesses. Swampfire is completely invincible, making him completely boring.
I loved drawing the original Heatblast. There's just something so appealing about him. He's got the perfect blend of simplicity and detail that just makes him so much fun. Plus, his face is deceptively expressive. He really gives off an air of being made from molten rock and fire.
The sequel!Heatblast looks like he's made of metal. Something about him just screams, "Flaming suit of armor". He doesn't have a lot of the little details that the original had, like the rock plating jutting out a bit and his face lost a bit of expressiveness. He's also shorter and has less Popeye about his arms. Not a whole lot of fun to draw, looking more like a guy in a suit than an alien.
This is the first time I'd drawn Swampfire. Not fun at all, really. Except for the feet, he's human with some extra bits hanging off.

Here are his weaknesses:
Swampfire can be continuously cut up by sharp objects such as Goop's Anti-Gravity Projector, preventing him from regenerating.[9]
Swampfire can be frozen, which renders him immobile.[10][11] He can thaw himself out by igniting the methane in the palms of his hands.
Swampfire cannot control weeds, though after 'blossoming,' he gains the ability to command the hordes of Mutant Pumpkins of Anur Transyl.
Swampfire's swampy stench makes it hard to hide from anybody or anything capable of smelling. If Ben turns into Swampfire with a broken arm, Swampfire's arm will be twisted and shriveled, and he will feel pain from it.[12]
