Because, seriously, logic dictates that they need to be parasitic to reproduce. Without a physical body and, thus, no genetics to pass down, they would need to lay some manner of "seed" or "egg" inside the body of a physical species like the Xenomorphs of the Aliens franchise. Plus, it's a logical and geographical impossibility for Verdona to be Max's wife; otherwise, St. Louis, Missouri would have to be a barren wasteland of an ass-crap place. IN VIRGINIA.

Either Verdona isn't Max's wife and "seeded" him when he wasn't paying attention... or St. Louis, Missouri is a desert in, yes, Virginia.
One of these is patently retarded and it's not the one that doesn't involve geographical irregularities.
